Bringing Your Poetry to Life!
Write and Draw About Your Favorites!
This class is a NEW two part workshop where your child will be writing poetry and creating a drawing in the first class. The writing and drawing will be lasered onto a piece of wood which they will paint and finish during the second class.
(1st-5th) and (6th-8th)
-Each class will begin with a short explanation and demonstration about the class focus.
-The first workshop will focus on writing poetry and creating a draft of the drawing that reflects the poem created. Students will be encouraged to write about a favorite animal, place or thing.
-The second workshop will focus on painting and finishing the final wooden project.
-We will be listening to relaxing music while creating in both workshops.
-1st-5th Graders will make an Acrostic poem and drawing.
-6th-8th Graders will make a Diamante poem and drawing.
